CU Methods Google Group

We have established a Google Group for methods-related issues. This is a great forum to ask questions about anything ranging from where to find data, how to fix pesky software problems, how to respond to that journal referee's methodological complaints, etc.

How to Join
You will need a Google account to join. If you currently have a Google account (e.g., if you use Gmail) you can use that. If you would like discussion group emails to go to your CU account you will need to set up a Google account using your CU email address.

Once you have a Google account set up, email Dave Doherty (david.doherty@colorado.edu) from your CU email account. Include the email address associated with your Google account. He will send an invite through Google and an email saying that the invite has been sent. Be sure to check your Spam folder as the invites often get filtered. Click on the link in the email to accept the invitation.

How to Post Messages
The easiest way to post messages to the group is through the web interface: http://groups.google.com/group/cumethods. You can also adjust your preferences through this interface (e.g., opt to recieve daily digests rather than individual emails). You can also send an email to the list (from the email account associated with your Google account) at cumethods@googlegroups.com.

Other Discussion Boards and Blogs

Gary King and his colleagues maintain an excellent site featuring working papers (many of which focus on matching methods).
